Join us for an informative estate planning workshop featuring Dr. Marsha Goetting, Montana State University’s Extension Specialist in Family Economics. Whether you're just starting to consider your legacy or seeking to refine your plans, this session will provide essential tools and strategies. Dr. Goetting will break down topics such as when your Will is effective and “special tools” for avoiding probate, making complex concepts easy to understand.

Bridget Wilkinson will explain how One Valley Community Foundation’s personalized approach to legacy planning ensures your charitable giving aligns with your values and enhances your impact. Discover how your contributions can support the causes you care about while also offering potential tax advantages, such as a 40% credit through the Montana Endowment Tax Credit. At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, leaving with the confidence to plan effectively for the future.

About the Presenter

Marsha Goetting Professor and Extension Family Economics Specialist | Montana State University

Dr. Marsha Goetting is a Professor and Extension Family Economics Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman. During the COVID years 2020 through 2023 her virtual seminars reached over 20,550 Montanans. In 2023 she received the Distinguished Service Ruby Award from Epsilon Sigma Phi, an Extension Honorary.  Dr. Goetting is a member of the Montana Alzheimer’s and related Dementia’s Coalition and has been appointed to the Montana Supreme Court Commission on Continuing Legal Education. She received her PhD from Iowa State University and her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Kansas State University.
